Job Description:
Our team of contract counsellors come from diverse backgrounds of clinical practice frameworks and experience. We have the common goal of supporting male survivors through a trauma-informed practice lens. Our contractors have flexibility with both client scheduling and caseloads and can offer person-centred counselling work through in-person or virtual counselling services. Generally speaking, clients access our services for up to 10 counselling sessions. In some circumstances we work with clients that receive counselling through subsidies and third-party contracts. We ask that our contractors be willing to take on a caseload of at least 5 clients at time (negotiable). Our clients are allocated to counsellors through our victim services program; this program completes client intakes on behalf of the agency and matches clients with a suitable counsellor based on client needs. As a contractor, you will be supporting clients on behalf of MTC and are required to follow our standards of practice and policies for clinical practice. As one of our contractors, you will also have additional support through MTC administration and operations staff.

You might be offering practical assistance, helping men navigate the criminal justice system because of historical sexual abuse, educating and giving information about our services and other community resources. You may also provide both internal and external referrals for clients who have been a victim of current or historic trauma.
