One-on-one Counselling with Irvine

Irvine Harvey

My Background

My name is Irvine G. Harvey (he/him/his). I am an up-and-coming Registered Clinical Counsellor on Vancouver Island. I live in Sidney, BC, with my husband Daniel, our “kiddos” Great Dane, Luna and sweet, playful cat Quincy. I have a Master’s Degree in counselling psychology from Adler University (Vancouver, BC), a Certificate in Community Counselling from Vancouver Community College (Vancouver, BC), and a Degree in Physical Therapy from Angeles University (Philippines). I am a registered member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), and I am a Professional Certified Member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). I recently joined the dynamic team of Homewood Health – Ravensview located in Central Saanich, BC. I worked in social service as a Program Manager for many years – Victoria Cool Aid Society and Lookout Housing & Health Society, and Mood Disorders Association of BC – operating supportive housing and shelter services for the homeless community and overseeing psychiatric/counselling care with a holistic approach such as Food as Medicine, Exercise as Treatment for mood disorders, and advanced technology like Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). My clinical counselling training was with Health Initiative for Men and BC Society for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse in Vancouver – both focus on men’s health, wellness, trauma, and any individuals identifying as men who need support towards their wellness. Of course, I am open to connect with any individual given the rise of need in the community.
